Founded in 1968 by Kusnadi, 'Kilang Kompor Kusnadi' (former name for PT. Hokinda Citralestari)
branded its product (stove) as Hock, which means Lucky. He built the company's foundation and philosophy based on quality and safety for customers. In the early days the stove production was manually manufactured with only 3 employees.

32 years later, in 19 January 2000, Kusnadi went ahead establishing a new plant with the name of PT.Hokinda Citralestari on area of 5 Hectare (Ha), located in 6A, Jalan Orde Baru, Sunggal 20351 (KM 12.5, Medan-Binjai)
